The short version: Use Guitar Shark to learn and practice guitar. Don't reverse-engineer it or abuse the service. Subscriptions are billed through Apple. Texas law governs these terms.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and devZane, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("devZane," "we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Guitar Shark mobile application ("App") or visiting guitarshark.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Guitar Shark.
Guitar Shark provides guitar learning and practice tools including a chromatic tuner, metronome, chord library, scale explorer, chord progressions, practice streaks, ear training, pattern library, backing tracks, and course library. Core tools are available for free. Premium features require an active Shark Mode subscription.
You may use Guitar Shark if you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Some features may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@guitarshark.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
The annual Shark Mode plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the annual subscription. Free trials are limited to one per Apple ID.
You agree to use Guitar Shark only for personal, non-commercial guitar learning and practice. You agree not to:
The Guitar Shark name, logo, design, source code, audio samples, course content, and original written materials are owned by devZane, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
Music theory concepts (chord voicings, scale patterns, intervals) are universal knowledge — we claim no ownership over music theory itself.
The tuner and ear training features require microphone access. All audio processing occurs on your device. We never record, store, or transmit microphone audio. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
Guitar Shark is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, devZane, LLC and its members, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Guitar Shark, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to equipment.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50.00 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless devZane, LLC from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Guitar Shark at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Guitar Shark shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of Guitar Shark after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
